What you get
What your studio setup turns on
When you create your site from this page, BuiltLong suggests these features as your starting point. You confirm them before anything changes, and you can turn any of them off later.
- 01Website · Free
A portfolio site for the work you want next
Show selected rooms, your service area, your process, and the budgets you work with. Every published image needs a rights confirmation and a description.
- 02Inquiries · Free
Project facts before the first call
Every inquiry includes the location, project type, scope, timing, and budget range. Add questions about the client type or the decision-makers when they matter.
- 03Payment requests · Free
A paid consultation or project-start deposit
When you accept, send a one-time payment link for the consultation or first deposit, with your refund terms. The money goes straight to your connected payment account and pays out to your bank.
- 04Client spaces · Plus
Boards and approvals in one private space
Invite the client, share boards of selected images, keep the discussion beside the work, and ask for review. The client approves or requests changes, and the decision stays on the record.

Boundaries
What BuiltLong does not do for interior designers
BuiltLong handles the front of a project: the site, the inquiry, the first payment, and approvals. Design and delivery stay in your studio tools.
- Designing mood boards inside BuiltLong. Boards hold images you upload.
- Proposal documents, contracts, or e-signatures
- Procurement, FF&E schedules, vendor orders, or trade pricing
- CAD, floor plans, or renderings
- Time billing, invoices, or accounting
- Calendar sync. You schedule site visits your usual way.
Questions
Questions about BuiltLong for interior designers
Do I need a portfolio to start?
No. You can publish with your story, services, and project details, then add selected images when you have the rights to show them. Each published image needs a rights confirmation and a description.
How do clients approve a design direction?
On Plus, open a client space from an accepted inquiry, add a board of selected images, and send it for review. The client approves or requests changes, and the decision is kept with the version they saw.
Where does the deposit go?
Straight to your connected payment account, never through BuiltLong, and out to your bank. The BuiltLong fee is 2% on Free or 1% on Plus. Card processing is separate.
Can BuiltLong handle procurement or milestone billing?
No. Milestone billing, procurement funds, vendor payments, and contractor invoices stay in your current systems. BuiltLong covers the consultation or project-start deposit.
Can I pause new inquiries?
Yes. Set your status to waitlist to keep taking inquiries for later, or to not accepting projects to close the form. Your portfolio stays live either way.
Do I need my own domain?
No. Your site goes live on a free builtlong.com address when you publish. A custom domain is a $99 yearly add-on, and we register, connect, and renew an eligible .com for you or connect one you already own.
